Please Help - Need info to remove/replace Aux Climate Control box (back seat, ceiling
 

Hi. I need help getting information to remove/replace the auxiliary climate control box in the back seat in the ceiling. I've searched the web and found plenty of instructions and diagrams for the dashboard unit, but that doesn't help me.

It's for a 2004 Ford Freestar. It WAS buzzing loudly and clicking a LOT, and causing the rear blower to independently click and alternate between heat and cool. Now the rear control box has zero control on the rear climate blower. It lights up, has power, but does nothing.

I can find diagrams and instructions on how to do the dashboard unit, but have found nothing anywhere yet to help me remove/replace this auxiliary control unit in the ceiling. Oher forums have even been silent, so PLEASE if nyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Use a door puller tool with at least a 3/4 inch wide head and from the bottom insert the tool and push in an upwards direction while slightly prying out on the bottom. The panel will come out bottom first and go back in top first as there are 2 tabs that hold it on on the top. The hard foam roof material is all that holds it in so be carefull not to crush it while removing the panel. Good luck.
