Rear/Auxiliary HVAC
 

So a few months ago I started having an issue with my rear hvac controls, those of you guys that have this equipped should know that when you have the rear set to cold that it comes out of the overhead vents, and when you have it set to heat that it switches to the bottom vent. Well I figured my blend door was bad because what's happening is that when I put it to cold its coming out hot but from the overhead vents, and when I put it on hot its coming out cold but from the bottom vent. I've taken off the rear quarter panel and took the blend door apart, it works fine. I even used the vent mode selector actuator (which works correctly) in place of the blend door and it still doesn't work right, so that being said I don't think its an actuator problem, I think its and hvac module problem or something. Someone help me out plz 🤦🏻‍♂️

This diagram does make sense however it is confusing to me. The auxiliary hvac number 2 is whats giving me issues. When i switch the temperature to cold it comes out hot, and when I put it on hot it comes out cold. Im not sure how to test the parts. The only way I did it was by taking the actuator apart and swapping the vent mode actuator with the temperature actuator when I did that it was still giving me the same issues

Check pinpoint O to S, all those are relevant to aux hvac.As of this reply you still haven't downloaded the PDF yet.
BTW the above diagrams are for 05 Freestar 4.2L which you never told us.

Yes i just realized i didn't clarify what my vehicle was, i just fixed that... And what do i check those pins with? Multimeter or a test light. And what are the readings supposed to be at?
