I have an 05 Freestar minivan and we have a DVD that we're unable to eject from the DVD player. It plays just fine, however when we attempt to eject it, it makes a noise and then starts playing the DVD from the beginning.

I called Ford thinking this might be a reasonable fix, however I was told that they have to take the unit down, send it off to be refurbished and then reinstall it, to the tune of about $500. Ridiculous.

Is there a way we can fix this ourselves?
