16' rims on Energi Titanium

My canadian Energi Titanium comes with 225/50/R17. Can I put a 16' rim on it? for example:

with this tires:

TireRacks recommends 235/50R17 (don't know why they are not the same size as my originals, but 235 instead of 225...), but they have no studdable tires for that size, so I wanted to switch to 16'.

Thanks

you should be ok with 16" tires. There are two things to make certain of though. Make certaint he 16 inch tires have the same rolling diameter of your 17's. Tire rack should help you with that. That will keep your speedometer/ odometer acurate, etc... Also, very important make certain that whatever wheels you use will clear your calipers.
Good luck
