Snow cables/chains for 2015 Fusion S Hybrid

I know Ford recommends, or at least strongly suggests, not to use snow cables/chains on the car.

This is not a realistic approach, as if you can garage a car when it snows, next car I buy will be required to be drivable in all normally anticipated weather.

That said, anyone have a suggestion about using snow cables/chains on a 2015 Fusion S Hybrid. There seems to be acknowledgment of meeting a S rating, apparently for low clearance. Tire size is as originally equiped: Michelin P225/50R17 93V.

Any advice appreciated.

I have heard some buzz about tire socks. Maybe google it.

why tire chains vs a directional studded snow tire?
the winter best tires I have ever driven on are studded snow tires. the deep treads are the best design for deep snow and the studs are the best for icy roads. You won't be speed limited like a tire chain. The new style studs do not damage the asphalt.

I recommend a directional studded snow tire vs an ice tire.
