Transmission problem

My 2007 just broke 50K MILES. Transmission shifts hard 2nd to 3rd gear.
Sometimes starts in second gear and quickly shifts to 1st gear.
At 58,879 miles the dealer test drove and comented " ROAD TESTED AND COULD NOT VERIFY ANY CONCERNS WITH SHIFTING BUT POSSIBLE CONCERN WHEN HOT. FOUND TSB 8-24-1 (SHIFT CONCERNS WITH NO CODES). IF CONDITION PERSISTS, WILL NEED TO REPLACE TRANSMISSIOON VALVE BODY -$1800.00 INSTALLED
Also, I noted accelerator pedal moves down about 1 inch before any thing happens. I have driven other Fusions and did not notice this problem.

I think it is time to report this to Home | Safercar -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

I had my transmission replaced for a similar problem at 52000 miles. I took it to the dealer at 48000. My transmission had no codes but always failed on up hill drives around
35mph at 2500 rpm's
Hope this helps
