2000 mustang v6 want run

2000 mustang will not start. i bought this car 7 years ago and have never had a problem. the last couple of days it's fluttered alittle bit when starting and also had to start it 3 times to get it to run yesterday. this morning i go out and it want start. it will fire and idle at about 500 rpms but that's it. checked fuel pressure and had 40lbs at rail. checked spart at coil pack and had spark. any suggestions would be helpful. thanks in advance.

A partially plugged fuel filter will allow enough fuel to maybe idle , but not enough to run higher rpm. If you haven't changed that filter recently now is a good time. They should be changed at least once a year !.
