2018-2019 Ford Mustang Purchase
I have always wanted a convertible Mustang and recently decided to make the leap. After researching, I found that there is a lawsuit because of a faulty transmission for models going back almost a decade. I am looking at possible 2018-2019 models. but the lawsuit really scares me. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Are you talking about the 6 speed leadframe issue?
Just FYI the 5.0 engine from 2016 - present has intake manifold runners that are internally made into the intake and they do break and cause running issues, to fix you need to buy a whole new intake manifold, I have only replaced three or four of them my self I know the mechanic across from me has replaced quite a few more. Not trying to scare you off but it is a unfortunate issue.
The 3.7 with a 6 speed manual is fun as hell though, Im not going go and buy one but I do take them for longer test drives when I do a used vehicle inspection for the sales dept.
