5.0 problems?
i got a 90 5.0 5spd that i got in a auction last year.
the car is set up with almost everything i wanted on a 5.0
my problem is that it runs great untill i press in or some times let out the clutch.
this also happens when im putting it in gear?
i have checked every thing i can think of a thousand times and still it dies.
i have some experiance with these cars. i think this is my 6th one.
i was wondering if it could of been a auto converted to a 5spd and still had the auto ecu in it
could this be the problem?
if any one can lead me i the rite direction i would be very greatfull.
thank you.

The stumbling and or stall could be caused by the PCM seeing the TPS in the idle position andthe tranny load on the engine even though a small load while in neutral. Depressing the clutch suddenly removes the load, the PCM over-compensates, and the engine stalls. Check to make sure that your throttle boby is clean and IAC is working OK with no crud build up in it. It could also be caused by a loose ground that vibrates during the time you depress the clutch or let the clutch out causing the injectors to operate improperly (Been there-Done that on my 88 Ranger). A faulty ground for the injectors will cause the injectors to NOT flow fuel. Check all body, PCM and frame grounds. Since it's a 1990, I would go back to Auto 101 and disconnect all connectors and grounds one at a time and verify they are good and clean. Hit them with a touch of dielectrical grease while your at it. It won't hurt and you'll have eliminated that portion.
thanks for the heads up ill check it out this weekend!
