Default Cowl Ind. or Ram Air?

I am in a hard decision. I have a choice of getting a ram air hood or cowl induction. Ram air is good for the engine but also cowl induction helps eliminate the pressure at the windshield/firewall.
I like the 4 inch lift cowl induction so far.

What is your Ideas?

Who's hood/s?

I'd go for the Ram Air maybe with heat extraction..

Anybody have any brands that I can look at? I have just found ones from Roush and Cervani's.

Try a seach engine - google it or something. Either way ram air rules. Cowl induction is mostly a cosmetic thing to hide it and kinda' useless if the hood's jacked up anyways. I've never experienced excess windshield pressure, but If you have a drag car just lay a small rear padded spoiler at the *** end of your hood to help kickair over the roof. They might even have some to buy here and there. Ram Air isn't starved like cowl but isn't as directed. You will want to add something to help direct the airflow and calm it down. Also, with ram air you should have a wet weather bypass or you'll suck water (and the motor will starve and shut off if you're running a tight air filter). Cowl takes in moisture - but less. That's its only major advantage, but still it can be affected by wet weather with certain intake angles and filters. If it were me I'd just get a nice big single or set of front scoops on the hood and keep it low like 3 or 3 1/2 inches with the set I'd set them to the sides of the radiator area of the hood for cooling purposes and slightly forward of the radiator area if possible. They would be over the bodyline (NOT sunk in) to make intake a maximum flow (although this acts to lift the front at speed ever slightly - adjust front lower spoiler to compensate). That's more intake than you'll ever use unless you're already supercharged.
