Default Door lock linkage

The key turns but nothing happens on my daughter's 2003 mustang. I took off the door panel and the plastic bracket is attached to the lock cylinder and it moves when the key is turned. But, it looks as if there should be a rod from the cylinder to the actuator. I can not seem to find a diagram anywhere. There also is no loose parts laying inside the door. Any help would be appreciated. Is there a separate rod from the door key lock cylinder to the actuator? Can I find this part anywhere? (no luck at junk yard or autozone).

Thanks.

I am going to direct you to www.mustangforums.com

They know all Mustangs inside and out and will let you know what you need. I recommend them a lot in this forum, but they are too good not to.
