Ford Mustang Burnout Clutch Explosion

Ford Mustang attempts a burnout but ends up destroying the clutch. Why do people think burnouts are cool.

Because most gear heads like the smell of burned rubber and it shows about how much power the engine puts to the drive wheels. Stupidly sad but oh so true

I guess there are at least two types of people involved here.
Those who like to perform and like to get into the repairs no matter what the cost or work to repair.
And another type that likes to perform and have somebody else do the work.
I wonder if the performers have any idea what the people watching and laughing are really thinking.

Hello Hanky. As you and I both know burnouts when done properly usually don't tear crap up but take a few miles out of the life of the tires. and on the track or drag strip you have to do a burnout before you get to line It helps you hook up so that you don't just sit there

I never tried this , but I was told if you put bleach on the tires before you burn out it will really smoke them out! Wonder who is now going to try this. If somebody does or already has ,does it really work?

grindman 04-02-2013 06:09 PM

Yes it does work. But it's not the amount of smoke that counts what counts is how much heat for the tire to get sticky and gain traction for take off
