Service Engine Light

Hi - I'm new to this forum! We just bought a 2007 Mustang convertible last week, and today (Sunday) the service engine light came on. We've driven it about 200 miles since we've gotten it. The car has 9,700 miles. Being a Sunday of a holiday weekend, I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas what it could be? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Update -
We went to Autozone and had them put it on the code reader - minor vacuum leak. The guy said "gas cap". That surprised my husband since that was the first thing he did when he saw the light, tighten the gas cap. We checked it and guess what, it was loose again. Vibrated loose? Someone trying to steal gas? Don't know, but we'll keep an eye on it. Still interested to know if anybody else has had this problem and if it was a defective gas cap or maybe a hose with a leak somewhere.

Interesting; I don't think it would vibrate loose. Good to hear you found the problem though.

I know, it sounds odd. But at the cost of gas these days, I'm not discounting someone loosening it to try to steal gas out of the tank, either!
