Mustang quality issues
I own a 2011 Premium v6 mustang convertible with manual transmission. I put 20k per year on it as a daily driver. Has 135k on it now. It sleeps in the garage every night. Paint is blistering and rusting through on bottom of passenger door and trunk lid of all things. Wifes 2009 honda has no paint iisues and has more mileage. Shuddering of the ford dual mass flywheel is getting worse. The shudder between 2k and 3k rpm is "normal" according to Ford. Bad engineering according to most engineers I've spoken to. Shook my rearview loose. Vinyl top is splitting and cracking everywhere. Side bolsters on drivers seat are cracking and tearing. Drivers seat lumbar support broke internally a year ago. I look at my wife's Accord and think back to my Buick regal that had 238k before it retired. neither have/had paint, or upholstery issues. I can only marvel at the failure of such low tech items on my car. I'm venting this because we will be looking for a new car soon and I don't think Ford is going to be a consideration.

Yup, ordered it special and took delivery oct of 2010.
Noticed the rust on the trunk lid seam and thought it was nothing initially.
Read many threads on forums where other owners had paint issues. Ford is aware of it and the flywheel shudder issue. I reported it to the service dept at the dealer, they looked into it and told me it was "normal" and nothing would be done. Guess they don't expect owners to hang onto their cars. Poor.
