Why don't they put a 427 engine in it? Hell with the 5.4L

Stick a big block in that sumbitch.

So that bad boy will make some serious noise and HP!!!![:@]

At least make it faster than the corvette and viper!!!!!!!

Yea I know what you mean, but still the shelby GT500 is a big block muscle car. One of the hottest cars on the market. I've seen and heard 67 GT500 stang with a 427 an that is the nicest sounding and best muscle car.

They should be built to flat out destroy the competition. I was reading that the new ones run high 12's. 500hp and only runs high 12's. COBRA R MUSTANG they built in 2000 runs faster than that!!!! Plus they should have cut the weight!!! 3800+ pounds is pretty heavy for a sports car!!!

They are selling for 20-25k over sticker price. A lot of people are going to be disappointed when they are paying 60-70k and it can't even beat a vette or viper.

BUT I DO AGREE WITH YOU ON THE COST!!!! BUT YOU'LL PAY TONS OF EXTRA MONEY FOR A SUPERCHARGER 5.4L!!! YOU CAN GET A 5.4L MOTOR ANYWHERE!!!!!

Ford allegedly had a 7.0 modular in the works called the Hurricane. It was supposed to power the extended Expedition and was rumored to be slated for some performance offerings, too. Then Ford pulled the plug on production for whatever lame reason.

Now, if they decided to offer a special edition Shelby with a fuel injected, aluminum Dove Engineering 427FE, that would be interesting and make the competition cringe. It would also be much farther out of my financial reach, but I'd like to see something like that.

Incidently, the last thing I read said that the Shelby uses an iron block instead of alloy to cut down on the already high price tag.

Just found out that the local Ford dealer is going to have the Shelby $20k over sticker which is around $45k. [sm=jawdrop.gif]
