Default 00, 4.0L rough engine idle problem

2000, 4.0L 4X4, engine idles very rough, no power after warm up, truck shakes and shudders under a load. Brought it tomy mechanic and plug, plug wires, fuel injectors, coil pack, compression test, vacumm test all passed.
now i have noticed a foul sulfury smell coming out of the tail pipe.
could this be a catalytic converter problem?
completely stumped so any info or ideas are welcomed!!

if its not running hot,the catalitac converter isnt clogged but you might want to check the egr valve and the sensor, replaced sensors often in shop good luck

sounds like what my ranger did last summer. Took it to teh dealer and they found that the PCV hose was cracked. go under your hood and check all the hose's. the PCV hose runs in the back of the intake so it won't be in plain view site.
