Default 91 v6 ranger to 94 lx 302

first timmer here!

this is what i have. 91 4wd ranger that had a 2.9 v6. now i have a 302 out of a lx mustang over in it. by the way this is my first porject and i have gotten to this point mostly on my on. my first question is will the v6 computer and coil pack be good enough to run the 302. because it will crank and run good in prak but when you go to drive it is like you hit in the head with a hammer.do i need to go with a vac dist. with ele. ingition parts in it(oooooo it is a carb.)

and will a 16" ele fan from the parts store be enough to cool this pup.

i belive the 302 is a non ho. at least that what i bought it as.
factory rebuilded from ford.
firing order is the 1-5-7-@-$_ it seem to like that order better than the 1-3-7 order.

i know ther is some info i left out but any help will be appecataed.

thanks

the coil pack and the cpu from the v6 wont work i dont think. i have heard of people trying this and they did not get the desired results. i would just go to salvage yard and get the correct parts.

the other stuff you are talking about i have no clue

if its throttle body or fuel injected you'll definately need the 302 computer to run the engine, the v6 computer is designed only for the v6 motor, and with the v8, vice versa. you might be able to find one on ebay or at a wrecker if your lucky
