Default 2000 Ranger Cruise Control Button Replacement

Replacement is straight forward. Disconnect battery. Remove two plastic plugs from lower parts of steering wheel cover. Remove two screws. Disconnect bag and lay aside. Take note of cruise control wiring layout, especially the secondary multi-wire cable on the right side that goes in and out of a bracket. Remove the four screws holding the two bag brackets. Remove the cruise control wiring harness. It will be necessary to carefully move the lower steeling wheel cover to move the wires. Reverse the process to install the new buttons. Now is also a good time to clean the battery connection and cable before reassembly. Final note......Dealer wants $128 for the part, Amazon's price was $52.42 with free shipping. Came in a Ford box.
