Default 2004 - engine lopes in idle

I own a 2004 Edge 5 speed, small six cylinder with 29,000 + miles. I've notice this week, the engine lopes in idle. Just wonder if anyone had this problem and what fixed it.
thanx

don't waste your time seeing your trusted mechanic..engine is one of the most important auto parts. the life of your vehicle..thus, driving and taking a risk with an engine that has a problem, is not a good idea i think..link that would give u some idea bout your engine>>>http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByDepa...ine_Parts/FORD

with the mileage and years, shouldn't it still be under warranty? If so I would let them deal with it.

ok well, your little girl sounds like she is just sick, with a little common cold. So here are a few tips

start with the spark plugs check gapping numbers replace with new to the correct gap distance
than move on to your timing in general make sure shes on time and not off even the slightest bit off for this would will make her "cough"
check your airflow make sure airflow sensors and O2 sensors are on and in good condition
change your oil and oil filter,
tranny fluid and tranny fluid filter,
change your radiator fluid with a nice flush,
empty your tank and make sure it has a new tank of clean gas.
check feul lines pump and filter for any kinks, rotting, or clogs
and last but not least check all your belts make sure they arent to smooth and slipping for this will cause problems
dont go and think its something big when it can be the cheapest and last thing you could ever think of
so trouble shoot with these come backif the problem persists and ill help further
good luck and have fun
later
