94 ranger engine interchange

I have 1994 Ranger with a destroyed 2.3 liter engine, what would I need to do the replace it with a late model 2.5 liter?

I would stay with the 2.3.your going to have a big headace switching any engine these day's.You would have to switch the whole wiring harness and computer.Also you may be looking at exaust problems(not lining up)the 2.5 may not even line up with your trans.ect.

that is true. i would just get another 2.3 and put it in there. i would not even bother with 2.5 not much difference. but if you got the time and money knock yourself out man.
