94 Ranger Slipping

My 1994 ford ranger is slipping and the fluid is fine and does not smell burnt. Could thier be something else like a vaccume problem or converter issue?

Usually if a trans is slipping the fragrance of the trans fluid will tell. Are you sure there is not an engine problem that might appear to be a trans problem? What is the vehicle doing and when do you feel the slipping?

Take off or reverse

When it is put in gear and you give it gas you hear the engine rev but it does not move. when you give a little more gas then it starts to move. if you slow down or stop you have to work at it to keep giving it gas to get up to speed. nothing make a unusual sound nothing jerks when you change from park to reverse or drive.

sounds like the trans valve body / pump shaft is fins are warns and trans is also do for a clutch pack and band kit replacement how many miles on the trans or truck those ford trans only last about 80,000 to 100,000 before they show signs of wear and there mad easy to rebuild if u can get the parts from trans star
