99 3.0 V6 just wont START!
 

Just bough my first vehicle. I'd like to try and fix this problem without being ripped at new one at a shop. I was driving the truck last night, I drive is nicely, everything was fine. This morning I went to start it, turned the keys to acc, dash lights come on, fuel pump hums, and when it goes to turn over, all I hear in one single click.

Checked the battery, it's good. All connectors to it are good and clean. Undid the ground for a few mins to let it reset, (sometimes that works), nothing. Tapped the starter, nothing. Tried to feel for any warm places on the wires to indicate where the problem is after I tried to turn it over, and I couldn't feel anything.

Any ideas? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I live where I work and I'm stuck here now till it's fixed. haha

May need a new starter.

I have the same truck, i found that on mine i can tap the starter a few times and it will turn over, also if that doesn't work i stumbled upon another option: go under the hood and open up your fuse box and find the the fuse for the starter, i dont remember which one it is (i think its number 12, the diagram on the underside of the lid can help) anyway pull it an then put it back in. Mine fires up after that, hope this helped!
