Camshaft Position Sensor

The check engine code on my 97 ford ranger 3.0L says the camshaft position sensor is bad. Can anyone tell me where it is located and provide a source/instructions for replaceing it? I would like to replace it my self.

that is a good question that i really do not know about. send techmanbd a pm and he will help you out. otherwise i would call a repair shop or a dealer or something or get a repair manual from a lib or buy one and do it that way. good luck.

I don't have a clue where it is exactly.

its on the front of the engine to the upper right of the crank pulley.(looking at the engine from the front) let me know if this helps

That's the crank shaft sensor near the pulley, not the cam shaft sensor.
