cold air intake and water

is a cold air intake more likely to suck in water then the factory type? and how does water not get in the intake when it is rainin anyway?

it is for the fact that it is more exposed... u dont have to really worry bout it much unless you drive in deep *** water. if you are worried about that sort of thing i would just put a prefilter (nylon sock lookin thing) over the filter.

the filters that cais use are cleanable so you dont have to worry to much.

I think by the time any light water got threw the air filter and mixed with the air it would just be humidty.[hr]unless you drive in deep *** water

You wont get any more water than a stock setup unless you ran through a puddle. One word of advice though, if you do go with an open element setup, be sure to cover it with something when spraying the motor off. A plastic grocery bag gets the job done. Just take it off before you start your truck back up!

i wont spray my motor off again last time i dide it idled really high i hit the idle air control valve with a wrench and it went back down weird huh?
