I believe just about all OBDII systems have an oxygen sensor after the converter where none of the OBDI systems I have seen have that feature.
Since the vehicle has a Mazda type set-up I would suggest you check with a Mazda dealer service dept. and they should be better able to suggest the better scan tool. It does appear to have the OBDII system. |
thanks bro

if its 1996 or newer it will be obd2 which has a 16pin connector. The location of the connector link will be in the passenger compartment. obd2 mandated standardization of the connector and location of the connector.
The picture in not of a obd2 connector. What is the tenth character of the vin? what ever scan tool you get; get one that can display live data. A code reader can't, a scan tool can. Do you want something that can display abs and airbag dtc, body and underfined codes or just powertrain codes? I bought a launch c-readerVI and i am very pleased with it. |
