lights on warning chime
Hey guys im new to this forum. I have a 1993 ford ranger, just the basic model with the 3.0. When I turn the lights on I hear a chime coming from the dash. Usually I wouldn't care but it does it nonstop even when im driving. It didnt start doing this until I washed out the engine bay a couple months ago. Is it possible I shorted something out? Any help would be great.

You could disconnect, inspect, dry and reconnect all the harnesses under the hood. But disconnect the battery before you get started.
There is also a computer connector on the firewall. I don't know it this one is only drive train related or if it also has body control functions. Good luck! |
So some are covered in crud. Whats the best wsy to clean them?

Hey Fullshaft: I am glad you have some humor!
The more details you give us the easier it is to help out. |
Thanks again. No luck with cleaning the connections. I bought a Chiltons book, so now that I see it on paper I can just disconnect the dang thing.
