manual transmission fluid 5 spd?
 
1985 ford ranger 2.8l v6 5 spd, anyone know what type of fluid i use to fill it?? in the process of doing a new clutch kit change and want to change fluid!! anyone thank

80-90 gear oil. Just did 89 ranger yesterday.

No problemo, amigo, for reference you would also be okay with 30wt oil in cold climates. Actually I may be wrong I'm sorry bout that. Seek more info, it was a toyota that I did last week that took gear oil. Your truck may require regular atf. You can call a local Valvoline instant oil change facility as they have a lubrication guide that tells what fluids are necessary. Again I'm sorry for snap response.
