Odometer repair
Hi all, new poster here.
Some very good info posted.
Have a '96 Ranger that has some of the common ailments.
One I've not see posted is about the odometer.
Mine has been out for a long time, and I'm not too keen
on paying $80 an hour to the dealer if I can avoid it.
Anyone ever repaired/had one repaired?
All analog gauges, the speedo works fine.

Although it won't help for analog odometer problems, there's a new do-it-yourself repair manual for repairing the intermittent (digital) odometer in 1999 - 2003 Ford F150, F250, F350, Explorer, and Expedition. These all use a common circuit board that develops faulty solder joints after a period of time. The repair manual shows in great detail how to quickly and easily repair the problem. You can be back on the road with your odometer working like new in about 2 hours start to finish. Get more information at http://www.odometer-repair.com .
