Default A/C air flow slows down driving up hill

My 2008 Sport Trac has recently started producing less air flow from the A/C when going up hill. The fan is still blowing and the cold air returns when I reach level ground. Any ideas? Thank you, Tom

Welcome to the site Tom
When the air flow at the panel slows, is air then vented out of the defrost vents?
If there’s a system vacuum leak, the venting will default to defrost. Under higher throttle applications engine vacuum falls off, and with a minor vacuum leak the system is starved for available vacuum to open/close and hold vent selected positions for panel, floor, defrost etc. Deftost being default. Generally if it’s a leak, it’s under the hood within one of the small lines from heat and age. A good place to start..,
