Dies when coming to a stop
Hello
A couple moths ago I purchased a 2001 sport trac 200,000 miles clean and runs good I changed plugs and wires, swapped over oil to synthetic, flushed and changed transmission fluid, changed rear diff fluid new water pump idler pulley etc .
Recently she told me when she stopped at intersections or stop signs it sometimes dies so I drove it around and found it did die once when I was stopping but only say 1 time in 10 stops and starts back up. So here is issues I know of the cruse control didn't work but the buttons were worn out I replaced them and still no cruse the transmission OD button doesn't seem to work either ABS lights is on I pulled codes C1230 & P0442 . I checked transmission fluid seems ok possible slightly low but still in normal range cant find a blown fuse anywhere any Ideas guys?

We don't for sure if there were any codes stored in the computer, or do we?
In that case suggest you clear codes and see if those or others return.
The "C" code relates to the speed sensor and circuit located over the rear axle.
The P code could be a little more difficult to determine the location of a "small leak in the fuel evep system"
Might be a good idea to get c code corrected first ..
