02 Taurus/ Sable How do I remove the AC Compressor

I have a 2002 Sable with the 24 valve Duratec. the A/C compressor is locked up. How hard is it to remove the compressor to replace it? How do I remove the sepentine belt?

I presume you are able to still drive the vehicle since the compressor is only locked when the magnetic clutch is energized as in defrost or A/C modes. You could always unplug the plug to the magnetic clutch so it doesn't get energized accidentally.
There should be a tensioner pulley in the belt system that you move to release the tension on the serp belt. If you are asking these questions are you sure you want to tackle the compressor job?

Yes I know I have to use a wrench to release the tension ont he tension pulley. What size wrench is required to release the tension. Most of my experience is with rear wheel drive vehicles, not front wheel drive with everything crammedd in on the side. What do I need to remove to gain acess to removing the compressor?
