2000 Ford Taurus 24 DOHC
 

My Taurus has 134,000 miles on it and is running rough when I start it. When I start the car it idles rough and seems to idle at high rpm's until I step on the gas a few times.

Last summer I had a smiliar problem and the mechanic replaced two spark plugs and added fuel injector fluid (also changed fuel filter). He got readings saying "lean on bank 1 & 2 and miss-fire on #4 and#6. Plugs #6 & #8 were replaced. Also have had vacuum hoses replaced at one time. Now I'm having the same problem all over again. Can you give me any idea what to do now?

replace all the plugs an wires and change air filter and clean or replace IAC and with that many miles i would replace the O2 sensors
