2000 Taurus rapping on cold start
When I start my 3.0 OHV engine, it sounds like the valves are rapping. A few minutes later, the noise goes away and does not come back until the engine is cold again. Is it a bad oil pump or are the lifters shot? There is 180k on the engine.
