2000 taurus se blend door auculator

I now have heat but no ac. I changed the heater core, heater hose assembly and thermostat. I flushed the system. the blend door motor was changed. the bar moves up and down. Any ideas? is there a way to manually switch it. thanks in advance

Did you have A/C before you did the work? Was it blowing cold air because the heater core was plugged? Does the air conditioning compressor come on when you select A/C?
The answer to these questions might help to determine if there is an A/C problem or possibly an electrical problem. This gets like a tree branch with several possibilities and each question needs to be answered before any solution might be offered.

ac was working fine. didn't have heat before the heater core change. compressor is fine. could the blend door now be stuck. was going to cut into it to see.i also changed the auculator

If the actuator was installed in the open position and the door was already closed, you can see why it can't go any further. You may need to remove the assy and verify the door is in the correct position that the actuator is in.

is it true u can only access it by cutting into the area where it is since it is in a plastic case
