2001 taurus wet floor

The driver's side front floor is always very wet any time it rains. It doesn't matter if the car is parked or is being driven. Ford suggested we add the cabin air intake filter cap extension, which we did but to no avail.
Not sure where the water is leaking in. My wife wants me to sell the car if I don't fix it.
Not sure what to do.

RE: 2001 taurus wet floor

Start from the floor level and go upward looking for water marks. You most likely have a failed windshield seal or body seal since you state that it get wet even when not driving. Pull the inside windo trim off and have a friend run a water hose aroung the windshield. DO NOT use a spreay nozzle. Just use an open hose. If using a nozzle, us a rain like spray. Then start lookin for the leak.Good luck, and let us know how you fair.
