2002 24V-low coolant light
 

I have a 2002 Taurus 24V and have started having problems. After driving for a while with the AC on the low coolant light comes on and stays on. With the air on it misses almost like the transmission but it is not the transmission, because it is shifting fine. Turn the air off and this stops. Any ideals.
