2007 Taurus no heat and no airconditioning

the last week I have noticed that there was little heat or cool air coming from the airconditioning. Now the air is the same temperature for both the heating and airconditioning. I tried changing the temperature from extreme cold to extreme heat and all I get is the air temperature from outside the car.

I took the car to my mechanic and we spent an hour checking the fuses and the vacuuming system and they are all OK. Took the dash partly apart and could not see any problems there.

Has anyone got any idea of what may be the problem.

Thanks

Problem Solved

Problem solved. It turned out to be the "blender motor" which is located under the dash. We had to remove the glove compartment and pull the radio out to get access to the motor. It took about 40 minutes and the cost of the motor was around $88.00. It was basically a quick fix.
