2007 taurus water problem

I have had this car since July, we have not had much rain but for the last couple of weeks we have had some down pours and my passenger side floor has become a swimming pool. The dealership is planning to fix the problem. I want to know how much damage has been done to the carpet and padding.

The water will not harm the carper or padding. The padding is a mildew resistant padding. The carpet and padding getting wet is tha same as dragging snow into the car and it melting. Just ensure that the dealership sops up as much water as possible. Even though the padding is mildew resistant, it can still smell musty. Depending on where you live, when the sun is out and beating on the car, crack a window just a hair to let the moisture out as the interior heats up and evaporates the water.

I took my car in for repair this past Monday. They Put on a rain hat and had to replace the heater blower and resistor assembly due to water damage.
