2010 Taurus SEL TPMS Issue
Hello out there. Hope all are doing well. I have a couple of questions about the TPMS light .I had the PCM rebuilt and replaced the under dash BCM(not rebuilt) and also replaced all 4 tps sensors (stem type sensors) . The TPMS light was on before I had both moduals installed. I took the car to TIRES PLUS to get the TPMS reset . The tech tried a couple of times to reset the sensors. He couldn't complete the reset. He said all 4 sensors are working but there must be a glitch in the communication to prevent the light from shutting off. My question is the original oem sensors were the band type. The ones I replaced were the stem type. Would that cause the glitch to prevent the light from shutting off? Any knowledge of this issue would be appreciated. Thank you

Stem type can replace band type not a problem.
You can't just reset it, reset is when it's triggered, like "low tire", you reset it yourself. Go back to Tires Plus, ask them if they programmed the new sensors or they cloned the ID from the old to the new sensors and completed a relearn. |
