Any diff btwn 1999 & 2001 Taurus gas tanks
 

Hi All, I have a 2001 Taurus SE and I need to replace the fuel pump. I have a lead on a 1999 Taurus fuel tank and it comes with the fuel pump for a good price, and I am wondering if they are the same design (or close enough) to use. I have gone on to Auto-zone.com and they show two gas tanks which look identical to me for the two years (1999 & 2001). The part numbers are almost identical except for the last letter. Does anyone know if there is any real difference that would prevent me from using the 1999 gas tank in my 2001 Taurus? What about the fuel pump? Are they the same? I appreciate all the hep and advice.
