Changed radio in 08 Taurus ?????
 

I put a different OEM radio in my 08 Taurus... took out the am/fm/mp3/1cd... put in am/fm/mp3/6cd...

everything worked fine for about 3 hours then the cd player quit working.... says disc error...

Do I need to have the computer flashed for this radio? I am also planning on adding the factory sirius.... same problem?

Does it play radio but not CD's? Disc error is an internal problem with the radio. If the radio itself quit playing, then it sounds like a radio problem. Some radio's must be programmed when installed to work. If it worked for a while, then that's not the problem.

I got into the car this morning and the radio is working again.The only thing that isn't working correctly is some of the steering wheel controls.
