Here we go ELECTRICAL
 

My daughter has a 2004 Taurus and we love the car but we do have an issue. On a trip she lost the A/C compressor so we had it replaced. A while later less than a week we had an electrical spike go through the vehicle and blow a portable DVD player. We then started to get "charging system errors" we had the alternator replaced along with a new battery. Things were fine for a bit now we get "Check Charging system" warning and sometimes the car will be hard to start such as turns over but not fire, gauges will bottom out and shake Just plain weird stuff. Wondering if something in the ECM might have shorted out but it is random. I went out and started the car approx 30 times and the not firing happened 3 times gauges bottoming out and shaking at least a dozen times. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
