Hood Release
 

Good Morning,
My 99 Taurus has a dead battery and the auto locks and key will not unlock the doors. Is there another way to get under the hood to recharge the battery?

The doors lock cylinder (key cylinder) and the door latch itself are connected via a lock rod, and fully a 'mechanical' function. Did you try both doors? Guessing its a sedan since you didn't mention a liftgate..
