Location of Key Codes
Hi, I just got a 2010 Taurus fleet vehicle to replace my 2007 Five Hundred. Just in case the keys goes missing, my fleet dept wants the key codes. The dealer did not provide them and since I picked up my car, they have been less than helpful.
Where can I find the key codes? Thanks. |
Just do what we do and make a spare key as a master key that fleet maintenance keeps control of. Blanks are only a few bucks and programming is easy.

keycode for door
on my 2001 the keycode was behind the fusebox thing. The box was under the brake area and the sticker was on the back of it.I used a flashlight and small mirror.Remember the number are backwards with the mirror.Do a goggle search if the code is not there. That is how i found mine.Goodluck!

Key codes are found by useing the VIN# at your local Ford dealer. Most dealers won't give out key codes. It is to be used for making keys for the onwer of the car only.

Hi, thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

Did you find It?
Like i said the code was there but tricky to read but i got it with the mirror. The 9 was a 6 so it took me a little to figure it out.It is a white sticker with 5 numbers listed. This is the code to use the numbers on your door to open vehicle not to make a copy for your key.If you go to ford they will charge you crazy.Like i said if it is not in that location just google it and you should find info on where to find the code.It worked for me and should for you too. GoodLuck!!!
