Loud Pop from brake now fluid everywhere

I'm dreading taking my front caliper off to discover what may have happened.

I was driving relatively slow (about 30 mph or so) when I hit my brakes cause a moron stopped in front of me at a green light. I heard a loud pop and noticed well, I no longer had brakes. I didnt discover the leak right away.

I thought it was a wheel cylinder so I dismantled my rear brakes and a spring had snapped. Replaced it, noticed I was low on fluid filled it up test drove it.

My brake light came on checked fluid once again low so added more. Thats when I saw it, brake fluid all over my front passenger tire. Took off the tire, its coming from the caliper somewhere....

anyone ever have this problem or could possible tell me what to expect as I'm fixing it?

I have seen where the pads were so badly worn there was no material left and the piston actually came out of the caliper past the seal and of course so did the brake fluid.

Your best bet is to clean the caliper area and check the brake hose and caliper piston seal.
Until you find the source, we'll wait and see.
