messed things up
I was replacing inner tie rods and the removal tool i rented wouldnt quite fit unless i cut just a half inch from the frame and I accidentally cut a hole in the fuel line and return line in the right front wheel well. Very stupid but it was very late at night and i am old and was tired in a hurry lol. Any way i patched the with rubber hose but had driven it to autozone while leaving a trail of fuel ! then after i had patched it i drove someone to work 25 miles each way and it was blowing fuel out the mufflers lucky i didnt blow up or catch fire. So back to autozone and the code said to replace the coil and spark plugs which entailed replacing the upper manifold gasket which i broke a bolt off of when trying to torque it down. Now it blows alot of smoke not so much a gasoline smell but WTF did I do to my car? 80,000 miles 1999 ford taurus. would a leaky manifold gasket cause this? I replaced the spark plug wires and coil and upper manifold gasket . ANY help would be appreciated

Glad you are here to talk about it
. Fuel lines from the tank can be under 35-60lbs pressure. Could what you thought was coming out of the muffler be what was being thrown out thru the high pressure leak ? By the way,,,,,,,,,, what was the code you spoke of ? |
