when i come to a stop i get a weird thump like its been there for years, its like something is bumping. when i accelerate at about 15 it ships harsh but not if you get on it and are agressive. its driving me nuts. you come to a stop and thump at the point the car stops. also when i power brake the front of the engine moves a bit. all motor mounts trans mounts rails and frames are new. dealer says my 97 taurus base six cyl motor is fine thats the way they are. you come to a stop and its like a bump. any thoughts. service engine soon lite comes on code is oxy sensor one bank one slow response time you put some fuel inj cleaner in her drive onthe highway and its gone for three months. any thoughs. i love the car

 

what r the rpm's. sounds like a hard downshift. may be caused by high rpms. my 1998 had a bad tps and had a high idle. i would get a bump when tranny downshifted. thats before the tranny went out. also had to have the rear mount changed as well.
