Default Year compatibility for a a/c compressor, 2005 in a 2003

Wifes car is the 2003. Got a 2005 from junk/salvage yard. The first yard we talked to, said 2000-2003 were the same. Shore hope this 2005 will work but just wanting to check w/Real Ford folks....not some "yard salesman"!!! We`ve got it now but I`ve not tore into it yet. Thankfully, here in so/central Il., its cooled down a bit!!! Thanks ahead of time for info!!!.......GAS

If the lines bolting up are the same, and the clutch pully is san=me size and same plug on it, it should work. If it has been open to the atmosphere for any amount of time, you need to replace more than the compressor. The accumulator and orifice tube will need replaced also. You need to vacuum it down for over an hour if it has been opened for more than a couple of hours. Good luck.

Thank you, way2YOUNG! The 2005 was a "fresh kill" car...damn shore hope not flesh!!! Anyway, it came w/freon inputs plugged. I Really think this "yard" is professional. The reason asking ,was a closer yard said for her 2003....2000 to 2004 was compatible. Thank you again!!!, this isn`t the first time ya answered 1 of my questions!...gonna say again, think way2Young....keep on keep`n on!....Gilbert
