1991 Ford Probe Driver Shoulder Seatbelt Carrier Loose
 

Hello — I love my 1991 Probe LX. I got it from my parents’ neighbors last Halloween. I am the second owner if my parents’ neighbors aren’t counted, as buying and selling older cars from Carmax auctions, etc is their hustle. anyways:



Car is doing well after replacing the heating system, heads and water hoses back in February. The only thing that’s being bothering me is that the shoulder seatbelt on the drivers side is loose. Like, it goes in but if you play with it a little it easily gets loose. It seems as though someone tried DIY it at one point because there is a screw that doesn’t seem uniform and added after market.



I’m pretty sure that there was a recall on this. I’m all for DIY fixes but at the end of the day, if it needs to go to a shop or the dealership (though there’s no way they would honor a recall this late in the game?), I would rather be safe than sorry for something like this.
