90 Probe starves for fuel, dies after running

I have replaced the fuel pump, brain box, new distributor, everything except the EGr, has had mechanics stumped. The thing runs, then dies. I have felt that it acts like it is vapor locked. I also have had a problem with it starting, and the starter is not engaging without grinding. It does not appear to be lining up properly. Every mechanic says this car is fatal, and it will not ever get up off its knees!!!! HELP!!!!

Sounds to me like you've got mechanics that love to sock you for parts. Have you tried the fuel filter, and checked the inertia switch? Also try switching brands of fuel. Starter can be fixed easy by a real MECHANIC. I'd be embarrassed if I was the guy who couldn't fix that. Maybe they should try looking at what they're fixing. A code tester might shine some light. Also try cleaning the battery cables and checking for a loose or damaged alternator wire in which case the alternator charge stops intermittantly. Or bad battery. Could be a million things - thing is to have a mechanic TEST things before replacing anything. By the way EGR could do it - along with fifty other sensors/valves.
